Join our underwater photography dive trip to Galapagos in December 2016
Featured underwater photographer Janice Carter will be your host during these seven days, and she is dedicated to making you a better underwater photographer within the week.
Janice will give two workshops, and you may expect a few presentations and lots of valuable group feedback from fellow underwater photographers. These workshops will focus on the learning objectives you shared with us before.
12 Scheduled dives over six days + 2 landtours
Typically, diving in Galapagos is more appropriate for advanced divers, those who feel comfortable in deeper waters with changing currents and conditions. We will show you amazing drift dives, deep dives, reef dives, and, of course, the famous hammerhead sharks at Gordon Rocks.
You will dive with many shark species, turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, eagle rays and with a bit of luck we find a manta ray or even a school of Mobula rays. Each dive site we visit will give you enough to fine tune your underwater photography skills.
Where Will You Stay?
Before you start your adventure in Galapagos, you will stay two nights in Quito. We do this, so you do not have to stress about catching a connecting flight or have to worry about any issues with your scuba gear getting to the same place as where you are.
In Quito, you will stay at City Art Hotel Silberstein, which is from the same owners of the hotel you will stay in on Galapagos. The Hotel is located on a quiet street in the old district of “La Mariscal”, near the “Casa de la Cultura” and the very well-known park “El Ejido.”
On Galapagos, you will stay seven nights at Hotel Silberstein in Puerto Ayora on the Island of Santa Cruz. This small family-run hotel is located only a few blocks from the Charles Darwin Station and has 22 rooms with AC and ceiling fans, as well as private bathroom with hot water and shower.
The beautiful endemic garden surrounds the pool and relaxation area, and is always filled with native flowers from Galapagos, and leafy trees to shade some of our outdoor patio areas.
This eleven-night underwater photography dive trip to Galapagos will undoubtedly become a memory of a lifetime for those who are looking for an exciting, off the beaten track adventure, with some of the best underwater photography options you will find in Galapagos
