U/W Photography in Mozambique with Mantas and Whale sharks

The workshops included in our underwater photography dive trip to Mozambique are designed to help you learn how to take great underwater photos. We will discuss everything from safety while taking photos underwater, to composition and lighting.

By the end of our specialized photography trip you will understand the techniques of taking underwater photos and producing a higher quality end product that you will be proud to show your friends and family.

Take Amazing Pictures from Whale sharks and Mantas

Tofu in Mozambique is known to have one of the biggest populations of Whale sharks in the world. In the last few years, no less than 300 different Whale sharks have been identified.

The primary Whale shark season is from November to May but they are seen frequently year round. This is your chance to photograph some of the Big 5 that diving in Tofu has to offer! Whale sharks, Mantas, Turtles and Dolphins can be spotted all year round.

This 10 night trip is scheduled around the full moon cycle in May 2017 and includes 14 guided dives and one ocean safari (2 – 2,5 hrs) to maximize the chances of encounters with these big oceanic pelagics.

You may expect to encounter Whale sharks and Mantas on your dives which will give you ample opportunities to take amazing photos of these majestic animals. On our surface intervals, we will go on “mini” ocean safari’s to find even more Whale sharks and Mantas.

Where Will You Stay in Mozambique?

You will stay in Tofu at Corasiida a double-storey  guesthouse right on Tofo Beach. Corasiida is the Portuguese name for one of the most beautiful species of birds, frequently seen in Tofo, known in English as the “Lilac Breasted Roller”. This name has been aptly adopted for this stylish guesthouse on Tofo Beach.

From the Guesthouse, you will have a spectacular view of the whole of Tofo Beach with breathtaking sunrises over the ocean and sunsets behind the mangrove and palm trees.

Corasiida Guesthouse has 5 double bedrooms, which are newly and stylishly decorated with handmade furnishings, and all feature en suite bathrooms. The communal areas include a spacious lounge, bar and a small kitchen area.

A large veranda / entertainment area on both the ground and first floor levels are ideal for barbecues or relaxing with a book in a sun lounger. You can also cool off in the private swimming pool, overlooking Tofo Bay and its beautiful beaches.
